Carne Group is looking for an experienced Funds Lawyer to join our growing company, based in our Luxembourg office.


What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?

  • Qualified Lawyer with 4 to 5 years’ experience in the funds industry.
  • Experience with and general knowledge of the laws and regulations impacting financial services providers and investment management businesses, preferably including familiarity with UCITS, AIFMD and their related evolving regulatory, compliance and governance environment, covering a variety of fund product types and asset classes.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) essential. Additional languages would be advantageous.



Who are we looking for?

Due to our successful and growing Management Company and AIFM business we are currently looking for an experienced Funds lawyer to join the Legal team based in Luxembourg.


What is your role and your responsibilities?

  • Supporting the business from a legal and regulatory perspective in Luxembourg.
  • Legal review of fund launch documentation.
  • Drafting and negotiating various agreements (including Management Company/AIFM and investment management agreements, review of prospectus, trust deeds, administration, custody, distribution, dealing and terms of business agreements).
  • Assisting and support the business generally/Carne´s teams on all Management Company/AIFM legal and regulatory issues.
  • Advise and assist Carne Directors and Conducting Officers.
  • Assist with business development and sales activities and client services teams as required (incl. product development and special project work).
  • Liaising with external legal advisers and/or client's counsel.
  • Assisting with drafting and implementing regulatory documents.
