CMS is pleased to announce two new promotions, within its public law and corporate law departments.
Youri Musschebroeck has been promoted to partner, a decade after joining CMS’ Brussels office in 2014. Specialising in public and administrative law, particularly in public procurement and public-private partnerships (PPPs), Youri has played a pivotal role in expanding CMS’ Belgian public law team and contributed to its strong ranking in the prestigious Chambers Europe directory. Beyond his legal practice, Youri is an accomplished author of several academic publications, a lecturer in public law at the University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), and a member of the editorial board of the Belgian construction law journal Tijdschrift voor Aannemingsrecht.
Jean-Luc Hagon has been promoted to Counsel within CMS Belgium’s corporate law department in Brussels, where he specialises in corporate and insolvency litigation. Before joining CMS, Jean-Luc gained extensive experience with several leading international law firms in Brussels. His practice covers a wide range of domestic and cross-border disputes, including shareholder conflicts, directors’ liability, asset and claims recovery, bankruptcy, judicial reorganization, torts, contracts, and white-collar crime.
“The promotions of Youri and Jean-Luc recognise their outstanding legal skills and their exemplary dedication to our clients. Youri has been instrumental in expanding our public law practice, ensuring we deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions. His promotion reflects his ability to lead and inspire our team. Jean-Luc has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment and remarkable expertise in his field, which will allow us to continue providing our clients with the highest level of legal support in corporate and insolvency litigation. I am confident that the new roles of Youri and Jean-Luc will bring significant value to our firm, both internally and externally.” said Renaud Dupont, Managing Partner of CMS Belgium.
