Role Description

The role requires someone with a real interest in crypto-assets, a great attitude and a strong work ethic. The Intern may interact with customers, manage, and organise corporate data and provide top quality support across multiple channels.

The environment is fast-paced and requires that you can think quickly on your feet. You are a natural problem solver and can maintain a friendly yet professional approach in any situation. You have a strong attention to detail, can deep dive on specific questions on European and Luxembourg laws, circulars and regulations and can present findings in a clear and succinct manner. You work well within a team.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside and learn from a leading market player in the crypto-asset sector, a fast-growing revolutionary industry.

This opportunity is for a period of 6 months, starting as soon as possible. You must be based in Luxembourg.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research (statutes / legal updates / regulatory updates etc.) for crypto-assets and traditional financial instruments
  • Draft contracts and internal legal memos on complex questions,
  • Provide support to General Counsel and/or Head of Compliance,
  • Contribute to various projects by handling support tasks,
  • Create inventories such as applicable laws, decrees, circulars,
  • Provide support on internal documentation,
  • Create an Obligations Inventory:
    • Gather - all relevant laws and regulations in a folder, like Luxembourg AML law and CSSF Circulars, Luxembourg Payment law and CSSF regulations, MiCAR and all Regulatory Technical Standards, DORA and all Regulatory Technical Standards and Implementation Technical Standards;
    • Analyse - go through the legal documents article by article, identify relevant articles, copy the text and summarise the actual obligation
    • Document - document the legal analysis in an overview as provided by the company.
      • Any other relevant tasks assigned by team members or Authorised Management


Education

  • Law degree or equivalent
  • Above average grades / GPA > 3.5

Experience / Knowledge

  • Proficient in MS Office,
  • Attention to detail,
  • Ability to multitask,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • A natural problem solver and a team player,
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure.


Languages

  • English proficiency is a must.
